IODE… Women working together for Canada

Since 1900 IODE women have been responding to the needs of others. They have raised money to purchase much needed food and medical supplies during the World Wars, including the purchase of the Bolingbroke bomber which was presented to the government of Canada.
Over the years as the needs in the country have changed so has the focus of IODE. Snack packs have been purchased annually for the outlying community schools in Labrador where so many children were arriving at school without having breakfast.
